CDRiE is a world-wide Eritrean civic movement composed of Eritrean professionals, academics, intellectuals and human rights activists with a long history of peaceful struggle for rule of law in Eritrea and peaceful coexistence amongst peoples and nations in the Horn of Africa region. ELF Reunion 

ERITREAN LIBERATION FRONT VETERANS UNION:

 ELF Veterans Union is a union of ELF veterans: women and men who volunteered to serve their people. They came from all walks of life and from every region of Eritrea. They are not only proud Veterans, they are also the outcome of families who based their honor in protecting their land and people while respecting all faiths. EMDHR 

ERITREAN MOVEMEN FOR DEMOCRACY AND HUMAN RIGHTS:

EMDHR is an autonomous and non-profit civic movement. It is independent of any government, political affiliation, economic interest or religion. It is founded in December 2003 by Eritreans in the Republic of South Africa in response to the absence of civil and democratic rights of citizens and lack of rule of law in Eritrea. HRC  HUMAN RIGHTS CONCERN FOR ERITREA

HRCE is an independent, non-profit making, human rights organization based in UK. The organization is dedicated to the promotion and protection of human rights of Eritreans at home and all over the world. HRCE believes that all human beings are equal regardless of race, religion, gender and political affiliation and strives for a peaceful Eritrea where fundamental human rights are respected.  Elsa Cherum is the founder of HRCE. EGS is a civil society organization with a goal to co-ordinate, orchestrate and harmonize the efforts of Eritrean civil society groups whose primary cause is the advocacy of justice, human rights and democracy in Eritrea. The current chairman is Seyoum Tesfaye.

EGS is merging with the Eritrean Forum for National Dialogue (EFND). The current chairman of EFND is Dr. Paulos Afwerki.

ELL 

ERITREAN LOWLAND LEAGUE:

ELL is a civil society organization with a mission to rally Eritrean Lowland Societies to build a strong, cohesive, united and interest-conscious society that is able to realize its objectives and future vision, meet the challenges encountered, properly defend its interests and coordinate with the other national components in playing its due role by actively and positively contributing to the common struggle waged for democratic change to replace the current dictatorial regime with democratic one. The current chairman is Mr. Mahmud Saleh. GLOBAL ERITREAN ADVOCACY NETWORK:

GEAN is an advocacy group that came into existence to help strengthen the weak involvement of Eritrean Diaspora Muslims in the activities related to the struggle to help alleviate the dire situations in Eritrea. Spokesperson is Hamid Salem.

ARBI HARNET:

Arbi Harnet (“Freedom Friday”) is a campaign run by members of the Eritrean diaspora living in USA or the EU, which aims to link acts of resistance inside Eritrea with the diaspora community. The diaspora resistance aims to be informed and guided by realities inside Eritrea, and to support resistance groups inside the country. Arbi Harnet seeks to encourage the nascent movement for democracy inside Eritrea, by developing contact with ordinary Eritreans, transmitting messages to them, and encouraging them to take collective action. Selam Kidane is one of the coordinator.

MAY 24: 

May 24 is an Eritrean Youth Movement based in Egypt established to protest human rights violations in Eritrea and to advocate for democratic change by collaborating with all Eritrean pro-democracy organizations. The current chairperson is Saleh Omer.

 ERITREAN LAW SOCIETY

ELS is the only professional association of Eritrean lawyers. Due to the extremely repressive political situation in Eritrea, which does not allow the establishment of free and independent professional associations, ELS was established in exile and it operates from exile. GI are a diverse group of Eritrean activits located in various corners of the world, advocating the establishement of grassroots movement. The initiative is to pave the way for every Eritrean to participate in brining positive changes in our country.

ONE NATION

ONE NATION is a civil society movement that believes Eritrea’s problems are inherently political and the best way to bring change is through unity of all Eritreans irrespective of religion, ethnicity, region and gender. Change has to come from within Eritrea and the Diaspora could only play a supportive role. Eri-Platform, an international non-profit association, avails a forum for inclusive dialogue on important national, regional and international issues and events affecting Eritrea and the Horn of Africa. EYSC is established to galvanize the youth and encourage them to be active participants in the fight against the dictatorship and replace it with a democratic, constitutional and just system. The current chairman is Yonas Hagos and his predecessor was Daniel Ghebremichael.
